The Bible in Pictures

As the old saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words”, the following is a summary of the Bible in pictures.

 (1 Corinthians 15:45,47,53)
45  The first man was named Adam, and the Scriptures tell us that he was a living person. But Jesus, who may be called the last Adam, is a life-giving spirit. 47 The first man was made from the dust of the earth, but the second man came from heaven.
53 Our dead and decaying bodies will be changed into bodies that won’t die or decay.

(1 Peter 3:18-22)
18 Christ died once for our sins. An innocent person died for those who are guilty. Christ did this to bring you to God, when his body was put to death and his spirit was made alive. 19 Christ then preached to the spirits that were being kept in prison. 20  They had disobeyed God while Noah was building the boat, but God had been patient with them. Eight people went into that boat and were brought safely through the flood. 21 Those flood waters were like baptism that now saves you. But baptism is more than just washing your body. It means turning to God with a clear conscience, because Jesus Christ was raised from death. 22 Christ is now in heaven, where he sits at the right side of God. All angels, authorities, and powers are under his control.

(Galatians 3:26-29)
26 All of you are God’s children because of your faith in Christ Jesus. 27 And when you were baptized, it was as though you had put on Christ in the same way you put on new clothes. 28 Faith in Christ Jesus is what makes each of you equal with each other, whether you are a Jew or a Greek, a slave or a free person, a man or a woman. 29  So if you belong to Christ, you are now part of Abraham’s family,[a] and you will be given what God has promised.

(Romans 6:6-8)
We know that the persons we used to be were nailed to the cross with Jesus. This was done, so our sinful bodies would no longer be the slaves of sin. We know sin doesn’t have power over dead people.
As surely as we died with Christ, we believe we will also live with him.

(Hebrews 8:7-12)
For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. But God found fault with the people and said: “The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. 10I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God,    and they will be my people. 12 For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

(Luke 1:30-33)
30 Then the angel told Mary, “Don’t be afraid! God is pleased with you, 31  and you will have a son. His name will be Jesus. 32  He will be great and will be called the Son of God Most High. The Lord God will make him king, as his ancestor David was. 33 He will rule the people of Israel forever, and his kingdom will never end.”

(1John 5:4-5)
Every child of God can defeat the world, and our faith is what gives us this victory. No one can defeat the world without having faith in Jesus as the Son of God.
